dahoam1516 is a member supported 501(c)(3) school and social club located in Alameda, CA.
We offer hands-on, beginner-friendly classes in Bavarian cooking & brewing,
social events, and interactive experiences that are accessible to all. All classes are in English.
We are also available for private events for families, teams, and small groups. Check out our Experiences.

dahoam1516 hosts small-format, member-led classes in beer brewing and cooking with a focus on Bavarian and German traditions and cuisine. We keep things simple & hands-on, so you can do this later at home...after all dahoam literally means "at home."
In addition to our hosted classes, we also we also offer select classes in a "we come to you" format we call Experiences. Experiences are great for a special family event or teambuilding at work.
We also host social & cultural events and member & guest events throughout the year and our event space is available for rent for private gatherings.
dahoam1516 operates a unique Bavarian-themed venue including a Bauernküche (country kitchen), private-label Brewhouse (HBH - Han's Bräuhaus), Biergarten, Hopfgarten (we raise many of the hops we use in our homebrewing on premise), and there are many cozy social areas...Gemütlichkeit included
